In the Navarrese town of Alsasua at the foot of the Urbasa mountain range, we started in the early 80's with the breeding and fattening of mulard ducks. The knowledge acquired in these years led us to launch our products on the market in the early nineties.
Today Katealde is still involved in the whole process from the breeding of ducks on large open-air fields to the transformation and processing of our products without forgetting the purest tradition of bait with corn grain and using the most modern technologies for all this.
At Katealde we continue to work every day to offer the best to our customers, which is why each and every one of us at Katealde our production processes are subject to an exhaustive quality control and are developed in optimal sanitary hygienic conditions.
Our commitment to the artisan tradition together with an effort to take care of every detail allows us to obtain a differentiated final product.
Katealde participates in a European R&D project for microbial food quality assurance and belongs to artisan foods from Navarre.
